Attempt to arrest media unit head of Common Presidential Candidate

A group of TID members headed by IP Chrishantha Dias had arrived at the Colombo political division, SNAP, situated in Rajagiriya today (17) to arrest the head of the Common Presidential Candidate’s media unit head, Asanka Mahagedaragamage. He was assigned to the media unit of the Common Presidential Candidate as a representative of the UNP media unit during the Presidential election.

Asanka Mahagedaragamage had not been at his office when the TID members had arrived. 

However, they had informed the persons in the office at the time that the TID needed to arrest 

  Asanka Mahagedaragamage in connection with an investigation carried out by the Department.
