Emergency and Defence budget passed with a majority

Emergency and the Defence budget were passed in Parliament today with 119 voting for and 14 against.

TNA MPs' voted against while the UNP MPs' were not present during the time of voting. The JVP, NFF led by MP Wimal Weerawansa and independent MP Wijedasa Rajapakse voted for the defence budget and the emergency.
